New York recording artists Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys performed May 13th, 2010 at the Schuyler Inn Hotel Ballroom, in Menands, NY to a packed house. The enthusiastic crowd was treated to electrifying live versions of Jim Guadet's (and the Railroad Boys) past CD releases as well as unique versions of classic songs (by Hank Williams, the Beatles and others). Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys also broke out with some new material that everyone thoroughly enjoyed (looks like a new CD might be coming!)
Jim also wrote a song for the occasion, a tribute to Father Young, after which Father Young took the stage to share stories about McCloskey High School. Many McCloskey graduates were in attendance (Jim was a McCloskey graduate while Father Young was Principal). Lots of laughs and a few tears. Father Young thanked everyone for their support and urged people to use their talents to help those who are in need. Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys dug out a couple more gems and then it was time to get some of the great food served up by the staff at the Schuyler Inn. A splendid evening indeed.
